Penang Rotary Club Group 1 & 2 consisting of The Rotary Club of Penang, The Rotary Club of Georgetown, The Rotary Club of Tanjung Bungah ( Group 1) and The Rotary Club of Seberang Jaya and The Rotary Club of Butterworth (Group 2) have their Intercity Meeting at The Paradise Sandy Beach Resort, Tanjung Bungah on 19th December 2008.
The GSE Team from South Korea was lead by GSE Leader PDG Young Ho Lee and four GSE Member and they are Dae Gil Kim, Gun Soon Ha, So Un Kim and Soo Yun Kim. They have been in Malaysia since 07th December 2008 and having travelled to various state for their GSE programme and have been to Kuala Lumpur, Kota Bharu and Kuala Terengganu. They arrived Penang on 17th December 2008 from Kota Bharu and their stay in penang for five days till 21st December 2008 were hosted by Penang Rotary Club Group 1 & 2.
The Rotary Club of Tanjung Bungah wishes all GSE Members a pleasant and wonderful stay in Malaysia and may they bring back a wealth of living experience in this multi culture and ethnic diversity of this beautiful country, Malaysia. 
John Payne is now staying in Penang with his beautiful wife , Min Min under the Malaysia My Second Home ( MM2H) programme for about a year.

The 18th CHCHS (Chung Hwa Confucian High School,Penang) Interact Club Installation was held on 20th September 2008 at the school hall. This is for the installation of the new incoming President and the new board of directors for year 2008/2009 for CHCHS Interact Club. The organizing committee under the organizing chairman Ooi Poh Ling and her able team members draw out a well planned programme full of fun & entertainment events for this installation day.
PP Ronny Tan gave his opening speech on this Installation event and his speech was well received by the Interactors and he reminded them on their role & responsibilities which they must upheld as a Interactors for the new incoming term of service for year 2008/2009.
Mr Ng Eng Teik, Interact Advisor for CHCHS Interact Club in his speech thank the organising committe for a job well done to organise this Installation and the continuity of various task to be undertaken by the Interact Club under the new President Ooi Poh Ling and her new board of directors for the school and community projects for year 2008/2009.
In her inaugural speech as a President, Ooi Poh Ling reminded her new board of directors and Interactors on the services & task which they must fulfilled and take charge with responsibility in their new role of the CHCHS Interact Club 2008/2009.
Among the exciting programme line up for the installation include games for all Interactors & friends to participate and the blowing off 10 candles with a straw drew a lot of participants with the enthusiastic support in cheering the 4 teams to compete for the winners prize. There were also singing rendered to the delight of those present, break dance demonstration which we must not tried if not properly trained and a master magic performance with his sleight of hands on playing card perfomance.
It was indeed a well organised CHCHS Interact Club Installation event and the Rotary Club of Tanjung Bungah would like to take this opportunity to wish the incoming President & her new board of directors 2008/2009 success in all their undertaking and all the best to their studies and also as an Interactors to service the community and the club.
Thus with the Leadership Training Programme provided by The Rotary of Tanjung Bungah to both the Interact Club of PCGHS & SMJK Chung Hwa Confucian, it is hope that all Interactors would be able to function better in their respective avenues of the club and also able to carry out the club functions & activities efficiently and properly to the success of the school and the club they represent.
